Following what was a really tough 2020 and with the reality of 2021 commencing under a 3rd lockdown, I think we all need something to look forward to.
Looking towards the 2021 holiday season we are very hopeful that we can return to some sort of normality in the Spring and restrictions can continue to be eased as we head into Summer. We very much look forward to welcoming guests to the all new Cancleave in early Summer.
The build at Cancleave has seen great progress in the last couple of weeks and we will be ready to start with the roof very soon. We are using an ICF (insulated concrete formwork) construction system provided by R-Wall Ltd who are based here in North Cornwall. This build system will result in a highly thermally efficient building which will be warm in winter and cool in summer. For those who are interested the build will be ‘passive-house’. The amazing insulation will be complimented by air source underfloor heating and a heat recovery system.
2021 Booking Terms and Prices
We are hoping to be ready to welcome guests to the new Cancleave from 11th June. This is looking very achievable and we may even be ready sooner but we’re taking the side of caution with the 11th. There is also the unknown situation with COVID-19 and possible lockdown scenarios.
However, we can’t just put everything on hold and wait for things to change so we have to push forward in an optimistic but realsitic manner.
We will be taking taking bookings from Friday 11th June 2021 on the basis that full refunds will be available, or alternative dates offered, should the build process be held up for any reason, or if travel is not possible due to lockdown or personal COVID-19 related restrictions.
If things go very well and we can open earlier then we will of course keep you updated on that.
