Wow ! What a stunning property set in the amazing location with stunning views . We were a group of 7 with 3 children , parents and grandparents and there was loads of space for us all.
The property is built to such a high standard and the attention to detail is faultless . Patrick was there if needed and the communication from him was great ! We arrived to processco and fresh scones, it started off what was a excellent stay ! Thanks Patrick- we will come back for sure .
We are now back home after a few days at Cancleave and we can’t wait to go back! The property was beautiful, just like the photos and was extremely comfortable. Set in stunning countryside with uninterrupted sea views, and a coastal path for as long as you want in either direction! Everyone raved about the house, and the dogs especially loved running around in the fenced in garden! Patrick was the most welcoming of hosts and did everything to make sure our stay in Cornwall was thoroughly enjoyed. You will not be disappointed.
Cancleave is truly stunning in every way. From the standard and quality of the interiors right down to the towels and the comfiest bed! We stay away a lot and this was by far the comfiest nights sleep I have had in a very long time. The views from the property are seriously breath taking! To arrive to home made scones and a bottle of fizz was unexpected but a lovely touch. Finally but a big thing for me was the cleanliness of the property, again, absolutely spotless. Would highly highly recommend and we will be booking again as there is nothing not to like!!
Luxury accommodation on the North Cornish Coast
The perfect place to unwind, relax and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of this stunning coastline. Situated on the South West Coast path between Crackington Haven and Widemouth Bay, Cancleave sits in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The stunning new build provides a beautiful base for your stay in North Cornwall.
The views here will simply take your breath away. The vista which stretches across Bude Bay as far as Lundy Island changes its moods with each season.
There is a raw beauty to behold whether its under scorching summer sun or during a wild Atlantic storm. Whichever it is you will be transfixed.
The South West Coast Path is waiting immediately outside the garden gate. Turn left towards Crackington Haven or right towards Bude, both reachable in around 1 1/2hrs. There are several shorter loops incorparating the coast path and beautiful wooded valleys, one being just acorss the road from Cancleave. Check out an OS Map or ask your hosts Pat & Celi for advice.
Inside you will find a beautiful social living/dining/kitchen area that is the hub of the house. Bi-fold doors open out onto the coast side patio perfectly combing the inside and outside areas. A second patio at the back of the property provides an alternative alfresco dining area sheltered from any onshore breeze.
When it’s finally time for bed, there are two double and two twin bedrooms to choose from, each room cosily furnished for a sound night’s sleep. All but one of the bedrooms features its own en-suite, and there’s a separate family bathroom that means nobody has to queue for that all-important morning freshen-up.
The property benefits from underfloor heating throughout together with a cozy woodburning stove in the living area. If you ever tire of the views there is a 50″ smart TV on hand to provide the entertainment with preinstalled Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV and BBC iPlayer.
Cancleave is simply stunning. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and the views just to die for. Fantastic beaches, walks, places to visit in the surrounding area. Patrick was an excellent host, great communication and really helpful. We’d love to visit again!
Phenomenal recently renovated property right on the coastal path with sweeping views. Very spacious 4 bed 4 bathroom accommodation that our family loved. Very large garden that was perfect for watching the sun set and the cows and sheep in the adjacent fields. We really lacked for nothing and would definitely rent Cancleave again.
One of the best places we have stayed. Accommodation was amazing, it was very clean with everything you need and wonderful views from every room. The grounds were amazing, the family and the dogs loved everything. This was definitely a place to relax and reflect. I am sure we will look to return again.
We spent a much-needed two weeks in Cancleave following a very difficult time. It was superb in every way. I can only write about this rental in superlatives. The house is cleaner than ANY Airbnb we’ve stayed in, intelligently and efficiently laid out and well-stocked.
No expense has been spared on Cancleave and the result shows this and the thought that has been put into its design. We wanted for nothing from luxurious linens and towels to toilet paper, fire wood and olive oil. It’s beautifully designed and perfect for a family or group of friends. It is well situated so that it’s secluded and far away enough from town to feel paradisical but close enough for convenience and amenities. Many fabulous beaches are a short walk or drive away. It’s tough leaving the house however as the views here are incredible.
Each and every corner of this fabulous home has views onto the coast and beautiful surrounds. The living room opens onto lawns with spectacular views out to sea from where we enjoyed marvellous sunsets every evening. The garden is enormous and our kids and spaniel had an absolute blast running around in it when we weren’t at the many gorgeous local beaches. The kitchen is well-planned out and equipped (as is the rest of the house) with top of the range appliances and makes cooking and cleaning up a joy. There is also a fully-equipped barbecue and two different areas outside in which to enjoy al fresco dining.
The house is absolutely perfect in every way and its owners are rock stars. Patrick and Celi are next level hosts – communication was impeccable. Patrick provided local tips and guidance and no request was met with anything other than enthusiasm and speed. Patrick was responsive and helpful and no request was any trouble. We bothered him with numerous questions as we’d failed to do any research due to our own recent timing issues. We also ordered a delicious home-cooked meal from the talented Celi one evening and it was delivered to our fridge needing only to be assembled and heated up – a huge treat for me who, as the family Chef, rarely gets a break! Celi’s food is delicious and you must ask about it when booking or you’ll regret missing out.
Patrick and Celi are super hosts when it comes to running a gracious and well-oiled Airbnb operation. They are kind, polite, thoughtful, helpful and very well organised. We cannot recommend Cancleave enough – you will fall in love. We cannot wait to return to this slice of paradise. Thank you so much for a magical and wonderful stay!
